I am happy to facilitate workshops or speak at your business, health care center, or learning institution.  Workshops and trainings are a cost effective way to help a large number of people at your location meaningfully engage in important dialogues on current topics.  I have presented workshops on the following subjects:

In 2015, I was a presenter at the 2^nd Annual Prairie State Mental Health Conference: “Changing Perspectives and Altering Perceptions: Understanding Mental Health.”  My workshop was entitled: “Transgender Health & Wellness: Providing Quality, Informed, Compassionate Care.”

In 2016, I was asked to return as a breakout speaker to Prairie State College for a more in-depth workshop on Transgender Health & Wellness.  Click here to read what attendees thought of my workshop and how they rated it.

In 2018, I gave a talk back after the theatrical play 4:48 Psychosis performed by Salt Box Collective, which contained themes of depression, addiction, and suicide. Director Brian Fruits and the audience asked questions related to mental health and how people can help others who are struggling with mental illness.

As a speaker, I invite the audience to explore the presenting topic at hand, engage in the material by offering their ideas and expertise, and ask any questions that come up along the way.  If it is important to the attendee, it is important to me and I try my best to answer as many questions as I can during presentations and breaks.  Attendees report that I am eager to respond to their queries and am knowledgeable about the topic at hand.  Regarding equipment, a laptop and projector are sufficient along with a white board/chalkboard/standing easel to write on during the presentation.
